Traditional Thai Massage

Thai massage – also known informally as ‘the lazy person’s yoga’ – combines assisted yoga movements with acupressure techniques. It is done fully clothed on a mat on the floor and the therapist uses their hands and feet to stretch and compress your muscles.  It incorporates passive stretching movements along with the kneading of muscles. 

The passive stretching helps to open up the body which increases mobility and relieves tension within the joints and the muscles. In my Thai Massage practice I also incorporate active stretching techniques and trigger point work as needed. Patients leave with more awareness of their body's needs, increased range of motion and feeling energized.

Swedish Massage Therapy

Swedish massage is a classic, therapeutic treatment designed to promote deep relaxation and ease muscle tension throughout the body. It encompasses a variety of techniques that can include flowing strokes, gentle kneading, rhythmic movements, breath work, passive stretching, accupressure, trigger point work and joint mobilizations. It works by calming the nervous system and the results include pain relief, increased mobility and enhanced overall well-being. This style of massage supports both physical and mental restoration, making it an excellent choice for managing stress, encouraging better sleep, injury rehabilitation and supporting a balanced, healthy body.

TMJ Treatment

TMJ massage therapy is a gentle, targeted treatment focused on the muscles of the jaw, face, neck, and head to help relieve tension and discomfort caused by temporomandibular joint dysfunction. By treating muscles such as the masseter, temporalis, medial and lateral pterygoids it will help to improve mobility, and reduce stress-related clenching or grinding.  TMJ massage can ease jaw pain, headaches, clicking or popping, and overall facial tension. This therapy promotes relaxation, improves jaw function, and supports long-term relief for those experiencing chronic jaw discomfort.
